Friendship 🫂✨
a wholesome God–idea.
I have been thinking about friendship and how wholesome a God-idea it is.
Friendship is not just a word,not merely a relationship.
It's a silent promise that says;
I was,
I am,
I will be,
I won't stop being your safe space.

Friendship,I believe is a testaments of God's mercy to us as human.
It's God saying;
I love you and even more through your friends. He uses friendship as a conduit for divine love.
while God's love is direct,it is magnified and expressed in the love,kindness that we receive through our friends.
The concept of friendship is not shrouded in grey areas.
To understand this concept, we look to Jesus the ultimate example of true friendship who models the important of love, and intimacy in friendship.
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.(John 15:13-15 NIV)
Jesus shows the true substance of friendship by elevating it from a casual, self-serving connection to a sacrificial, and unconditional bond.
So,
If you ask me to define friendship.
I would say, Friendship is a region bound on the north by love,on the east by vulnerability,on the south by commitment, and on the west by sacrifice.
What better way to love your friends than to do so vulnerably,lead a life of sacrifice,and be committed to things pertaining them.
Friendship, to me, is a ministry, and for anyone God has given me as a friend, I live my life serving them.
The test of friendship is not in being inseparable, rather, it's about being separated and knowing nothing will change.
This is especially true with my friends,our friendship stands the test of time and distance–it resists it even.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca also reflected on true friendship,saying,"one if that most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.
Tribute to my friends.
To the friend who left an imprint in my heart.
To the friend that constantly show up.
To the friend that loves the imperfect me,the confused me,the wrong me.
To the friend who constantly pour into me.
To the friend who stayed in days of joy and grief.
